New National Contact Numbers for the Police

This is a reminder that there is now a new telephone number available nationally to allow the public to call the Police for . NON-EMERGENCY CALLS

101

Calls to this number (from both landlines and mobiles) cost 15 pence per call no matter what time of day you call, or how long you are on the phone.

In Warwickshire you may still use the direct telephone number of the person or department that you require if you know the number. This does not apply to some other Police Forces.

101 may be used, for example, to supply information to the police regarding crimes of a non-urgent nature.

999

should only be used for the notification of a crime in progress or when there is a life in danger.
